Who We Are
The New Castle Moose Lodge 1578 is part of the Moose International Fraternity, together our mission is to care for children, seniors, and our local communities. The Moose Fraternity’s presence is felt in over 1,400 communities across nearly 50 states and four Canadian provinces, plus Great Britain. Additionally, in support of the areas in which our Lodges reside, the Moose organization contributes between $75 to $100 million worth of community service annually.
Within the New Castle Moose Lodge 1578 , and Lodges across the nation, you will find a wide array of individual, group, and family related activities. Including things like holiday events, dances, themed dinners, live entertainment, sports, bus trips, and activities and collections which directly support our local community. Did I mention games? Some Members’ favorites include daily, weekly, monthly drawing, raffles, good ole bingo, cards, shooting pool, and bar games like Show Me the Money and Black Ball.

Mooseheart is a residential childcare facility, including nursery and its own accredited school system, located on a 1,000-acre campus, 38 miles west of Chicago. The Child City is a home for children and teens in need, from infancy through high school. Dedicated in July 1913 by the Moose fraternal organization, Mooseheart cares for youth whose families are unable, for a wide variety of reasons, to care for them. This amazing facility is funded by the men and women of the Moose.
Moosehaven is a private membership, retirement community located on the banks of the St Johns River, in the heart of Orange Park, Florida. With a full range of programs and services, Moosehaven provides seniors 65 and older a comfortable and secure retirement option. Residents enjoy the benefits of social interaction and support services within a residential community. This five-star rated retirement community completely funded by the men and women of the Moose.

Membership
New Castle Moose Lodge 1578 is always looking for new Members. Any current Member of the Lodge can sponsor you. New? No worries, you are welcome to come in with your Member friend twice to try us out. Becoming a Member is simple. You’ll just need to fill out an application at the Moose Lodge or you can click here to complete the online application. Initial dues are $45 with and there is an additional one-time $20 application fee. When applying please consider joining the Women of the Moose or the Moose Riders motorcycle enthusiast groups. Both are only an additional $15 per year and each provide extra support to charitable causes. There is also an invitation based, men’s Legionnaire group, the Moose Legion of which the Members are true leaders who feel an increased level of pride in Membership and provide an exceptional level of support to the Order’s philanthropic causes.
The rules…
First, we are a family friendly center, so please conduct yourself accordingly. It is also important to know that an existing Member can sign in a guest 2 times then that guest needs to become a Member. Spouses also need to be Members to enjoy all that we offer. Guests cannot buy any drinks, play any bar games, enter into weekly or monthly drawings, but they can buy food with cash only. Once a guest is sponsored and becomes a Member, they can utilize the Moose Lodge Mobile app to display their card in order buy drinks and play bar games, while waiting for the physical card in the mail. It can take a few weeks to get registered into the system and to receive your Membership card in the mail. Once received you can start entering daily, monthly, and weekly drawings. Moose Lodge 1578 is smoke free, no vaping inside, but we have an outdoor area to accommodate.
Another important note, all Moose lodges are 100% volunteer based. We are always looking for volunteers, if you see a way to put your unique talents to good use, please let us know.

A Message from our President
Hello and welcome to our website. The goal of the Officers of our lodge is to be the most fun and family friendliest Moose Lodge in town, which constantly strives to increase our community support. Moose Lodge 1578 is a multiple time Premier Lodge Award recipient, of which we are very proud. We couldn’t have accomplished without dedicated Member’s like you. Don’t forget we have general meetings every second and fourth Tuesday of the month where all Member are welcome to bring their ideas, concerns and compliments.
Thankfully we are growing, if you see a new face, introduce yourself and if you have some spare time, volunteer. We always need volunteers.
